What would life be like without ebay? For those of you who have not joined yet, you will find that Ebay is it's own culture. Connecting buyers and sellers from all over the country; all over the world. The item you cannot purchase at your local Wal-Mart you can find on ebay.

I have been a member of Ebay since 1998. My first purchase was June 18, 1998. I probably bought a crappy laser pointer or something similar. Yes, I was there when there were little or no fees. A time when ebooks and webhosting auctions were nonexistent. Ebay has definitely changed. I remember my first sale: April 29, 1999, A Mark McGwire rookie card. At the time, I did not want to get rid of that card! But, I needed some extra cash and sold it for $95. Boy, was I thrilled! (I was 21 at the time). 9 years later, I have a feedback rating of 100% and proud of it! At times, however,it seems tough, and sometimes impossible to compete with mega Powersellers and companies placing their products in every category imaginable.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Ebay experience. But, as I stated before, it is hard to compete. I've sold only 27 items since my membership began 9 years ago. Perhaps I am a little lazy but at the same time, I'm a bit intimidated. I have tried my hand at ebook and script sales, but you have to sell so many to make money!
