| Subject: Google AdWords Optimization - Do It Yourself Mon 7 Apr - 20:57 | |
| Google AdWords optimization is what you can do it yourself. Pay per click advertising is not free and is so expensive and becomes more expensive day after day.
Unfortunately, many of the advertisers spend a lot of money for pay per click advertising without optimization of their ads. These advertisers will have to stop advertising because the money they make is much less than what they spend.
Fortunately, “optimization” is really possible with Google AdWords but other pay per click programs are so limited and don’t let you optimize your ads because you just enter the ad title and description and the keywords and then bid on the keywords and that is it. But with AdWords you can do what “optimization” really means. For AdWords optimization, Google is the best reference and resource by itself and you can find all the information on their website. In addition to this, when you have any problem, you can contact the AdWords support team through your account and they will resolve the problem. You can even ask them to optimize one of your campaigns and they will do it for you. Then you can optimize your other campaigns according to the optimized one.
This is the reply I have received from the Google support team as per my optimization request:
Hello Vahid,
Thank you for your email.
I wanted to let you know that as per your request, an AdWords Specialist is currently reviewing your campaign and website in order to build your customized optimization report for Campaign ‘…’. You should receive a detailed optimization proposal within the next few days.
Sincerely, Sarah O The Google AdWords Team
So what else you want and why should you pay some other un-known companies to do it for you?
According to what I have experienced, you can even work on your ads and make them work better even after Google team optimize them. You should read articles and consult other advertisers in forums and websites and use their experiences. Learning should never be stopped.
Here I am listing the factors that you should consider for Google AdWords optimization:
Using at least one different campaign for each website or product you promote. Using at least one ad group for each keyword and its derivatives. Choosing the right keywords. Choosing the as targeted as possible keywords. Using the negative keywords. Using the keyword matching options (broad match, phrase match and exact match and of course negative match keyword) correctly and in the right place. Using the phrase match and exact match and also the negative keywords more than the broad match to have more targeted traffic and so higher conversion rate. Having the keywords on the ads title and description. Using more attractive words and phrases in the ad title and description. For example, free info, act now, Top ranked …, Top 2007 …, and so on.This will help your ads to have more clicks and so higher CTR (click through rate). Google automatically displays the high CTR ads, higher than other ads without having to bid higher on the keywords. So you should try to have higher CTR ads to be ranked higher by spending the same amount of money. Having more than one ad in each ad group and then choosing the best performing one and deleting the others after a while that they have been working. Keep the track of the impressions, clicks and generated sales and leads. Using the Google AdWords keyword tool to find the best and most relevant keywords. Using too many low competitive bigger key phrases and avoiding high competitive smaller ones. Taking the maximum advantage of the regional option tool and targeting the ad to locations that have more qualified visitors.Item 12 and 13 help you to pay less and receive more quality traffic and so generate more sales. Setting the correct daily budget. Bidding differently on the content traffic and search traffic.Content traffic is the traffic your ads receive through the websites that Adsense is posted on them. It is said that this traffic has lower quality than the search traffic which is the traffic your ads receive through the Google search result page. In spite of this, you will receive much more traffic through the content ads. |
